Workshops July 1 Letting Go (Jamestown) - This workshop is designed for parents of young adults with a disability who may be hesitant to "let go" and allow their young adult to take charge of their own life. It will help answer questions about how to prepare your young adult to move out, go to college, become and adult. July 15 ADHD Summer Seminar (Buffalo) - Topics to be covered at this seminar are - An Overview of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Special Education Overview and Development of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This seminar is FREE for parents and professionals. July 23 Social Skills Summer Seminar (Sanborn) - Topics to be covered at this seminar are - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Social Intervention Strategies for Home and School, Special Education Overview and Development of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This seminar is FREE for parents and professionals. August 4 Mental Health Summer Seminar (Buffalo) - Topics to be covered at this seminar are - Overview of the Mental Health System, Special Education Overview and Development of an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). This seminar is FREE for parents and professionals. August 6 Putting the Pieces Together (Buffalo) - A FREE conference presented by CASE: Center for Autism Support and Education. Workshop topics will be: Overview of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Communication Strategies for Individuals with ASD and Resolving Behavior Challenges in Autism.
