Communication Strategies Summer Seminar

Topics will include:

Communication Strategies for Individuals with ASD - learn about communication disorders related to ASD and available treatment strategies to improve communication skills in children with ASD. (Presenter: Jeanne Stiny, M.A., CCC-SLP)

Special Educaiton: What's it All About?  – Your child needs help but you don’t know where to start! This workshop will teach you the steps to the special education process and help you understand your child’s special education rights. You will learn what to expect at a Committee on Special Education (CSE) meeting and how to advocate for your child. You will receive resources to help you along the way. (Presenter: Stacie Ricioppo, Program Specialist, Parent Network of WNY)

Social Skills Fall Seminar

Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD): Social Interventions for Home and School - This workshop discusses the social challenges ASD presents in children and adults. Participants will discover strategies to use at home, school and within the community.(Presenter: Dr. David Meichenba).
