Objectives:
- Provide information about core signs and symptoms of autism
- Provide suggestions for communicating with health care providers about concerns
- Recommend steps for obtaining a formal evaluation and the assessment & diagnostic tools commonly used in the evaluation process
- Provide information about evidence-based skills training for caregivers of children with developmental delays and disorders that can be implemented in low-resourced communities.
- Reduce barriers and stigmas that may limit access to care in low-resourced communities
- Provide information about the importance of caregivers’ support and well-being
Who Should Come? This event is open to parents, caregivers, service providers, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and all other autism allies.
