Peg was born and raised here in WNY and has over 22 years working with families, over eight of them with Parent Network. She is mom to three adult children, one of whom is a developmentally delayed young woman who lives in her own supportive apartment. She’s blessed with 7 grandchildren and a crazy dog named Tressa.

Theresa has been actively supporting families of children with special needs for over 23 years. She is the proud mom of Stephanie, Kate, Michael and Tom. Their families are her joy and nothing makes her smile more than spending time with her grandchildren. In her work she is driven to help improve the quality of life of children with disabilities and their families.

Gary has been a career firefighter for over 12 years. He has been married to his wife Kristen for 25 years, who is a social worker for Niagara County in the Foster Care unit. Gary has two children, his daughter Jamiee is in the masters degree program for speech pathology at Buffalo State college and his son Ross is a sophomore at Niagara Falls High School.

Glenn was born in Michigan but moved to Western New York shortly thereafter. Glenn married a girl he met in first grade after they had both completed college. Forty one years later there are four children, four grandchildren and several church families that keep Glenn and Karen busy, in addition to Glenn's work at Parent Network and Karen’s two jobs. Glenn is an avid Nascar fan and a barbershop singer with the Friends of Harmony chorus.

Nancy is a married mom to two boys, the youngest diagnosed with Down Syndrome and on the Autism Spectrum. All of her boys make Nancy proud and she looks forward to helping other parents with children that have disabilities.

Lyn has lived in the Southtowns for 17 years with her husband, Tom, and four children. She first connected with Parent Network as a parent of a child with special needs and has worked in 1-on-1 Support for the past six years.

Katie is a Buffalo N.Y. native and Niagara University graduate. Katie brings with her 10 years of teaching experience in the Special Education and Behavior Management fields. She is mom to her amazing son Tiberius and discovered Parent Network while navigating the world of Special Education from the parent's side of it all.

Amanda is a proud mom to 2 children, Evie and Luke. She is married to her best friend Greg who is a chiropracter in WIlliamsville. Originally from Syracuse, NY, she moved to Buffalo to attend college, fell in love with the city and decided to make her home here. She comes to us with over 10 years of event and development experience, 7 of which working directly in the Developmentally Disabled field.
Dave is a Vietnam combat veteran, retired High School Social Studies Teacher and College Instructor, trombonist, bass guitarist, Basso profondo in the church choir and member of an ante-bellum dance ensemble. Husband of Ann, he is a father of five adult children, three of whom have developmental disabilities and Grandpa to three grandsons.

Kristi has been married to John for over 12 years and together they are the parents of two children. Their son Jonah is 7 1/2 and their daughter Zoey is 8. Zoey was adopted at 4 weeks of age, is developmentally disabled and the reason Kristi is so passionate about helping other families in her community. They also have a rescue dog named Jackson and a rescue kitten named Callie.

Kim Walek has been working at Parent Network of WNY since the 2002 opening of our Buffalo office and has 15 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities in direct care roles with the state (now OPWDD) and Aspire of WNY. Her three children are graduates of various Buffalo schools (a good mix of private, public and charter). She has personal experience working with CPSE & CSE committees for varying supports based on her lads’ different needs. Thrilled to see Buffalo rising, one of her key goals is to boost Buffalo.

Kim was born and raised in WNY, has been a parent member since 2009 and has worked for Parent Network since April, 2014. She is married with three children (9 - 16), all of whom have various disabilities, ranging from LD to CAP to a few physical challenges. It has been a blessing to have a loving supportive family that includes the Parent Network family.

Rob brings 25 years of experience working with families and youth, public speaking, curriculum development, and non-profit management to his role as Program Director. Rob gives supervision and oversight of the Parent Network programs including Training, 1-On-1 Support, Support Groups and Outreach.

Tonia is a Transition Coordinator with over 14 years experience working with young adults with disabilities preparing them for the adult world. Working collaboratively with parents, school districts, community agencies, and service providers has provided the opportunity for these young adults to achieve their lifelong goals.

Aletha provides information and coaching to assist families navigating public systems, connect with local resources, advocate effectively and move towards self-sufficiency. Aletha brings her love for children and knowledge of working with low-income families, special needs individuals and children who were actively involved in criminal court. She has provided a collection of supports to families in crisis.
