Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra This lively, colorful work has illustrated the instruments of the orchestra to generations of concert-goers. Explore the individual sections as they build toward playing beautiful music together. https://bpo.org/event/young-persons-guide-to-the-orchestra/
BPO Kids is a classical concert series just for kids and a great way to introduce children to a lifelong love of music. The John R. Oishei Children’s Hospital has partnered with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra to provide a special discount just to our families in hopes of making the concerts more accessible to all children! The hospital and BPO have worked together to provide families with a social narrative “Let’s go to the BPO” for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders; sound muffling headphones available at BPO coat check; preferred seating near exits (if desired) and access to a quiet space if a child needs a break
The Free, pre-concert activities start at 1:30 pm.
Concerts start at 2:30 pm & last about 1 hour.
Please visit our welcome table in the lobby to sign in before each show.
Quiet activities will be available downstairs.
