It makes a difference when a parent or caregiver can connect and relate with the professionals that are involved with their child’s day-to-day routine.
Have you ever wondered how to make this happen?
We talk about the study from John Hopkins University: For Students to Succeed, Family Engagement is Key
The benefits are wonderful for the children involved and you can teach your child their own self-advocacy!
We take a look at what do you do with all that paperwork? Our friends at Understood.org have fantastic downloads and videos to teach you how to create a binder for your child’s paperwork. Especially all of those evaluations that float around our houses!

We love this article by the Washington Post and its parent centered idea to helping parents out with the start of the new school year!
