NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) are seeking families of individual’s who are medically fragile with developmental disabilities.
OPWDD has asked us to assistance with locating individuals with complex, cross-system needs and individuals who are medically fragile who would be willing to provide some input to OPWDD on a conference they are planning. OPWDD is planning a conference for September that will focus on how to ensure that our transformation goals of self-direction, community inclusion, housing, meaningful activities and employment include individuals with complex, cross-system’s needs, as well as those with significant medical challenges.
OPWDD are hoping to find a few individuals who would be willing to talk on the phone about what issues they feel are important so we can include them in our conference topics. The phone call would be brief, with Dianne Henk of OPWDD, who is helping to coordinate the conferenced agenda.
If you or someone you know may be interested in speaking with OPWDD, please contact Dianne Henk, the Director of Culture Initiatives at OPWDD at (518) 473-1997 or Dianne.W.Henk@opwdd.ny.gov. If you have any questions, please contact us at (716) 332-4170
