With great excitement, Parent Network of WNY is thrilled to announce its upcoming fundraiser, “Our Voice, Our Words by Unique Voices,” a production by Unique Theatre Company, set to take center stage on October 5, 2023, at the Compass Performing Arts Center, located at 545 Elmwood Ave., Buffalo.
“Our Voice, Our Words by Unique Voices” is an innovative collection of thoughts and stories written by families, professionals and individuals living in the world of disability. Together with Parent Network of WNY, Unique Theatre has compiled and arranged the pieces in a play format. Our Voice, Our Words seeks to raise awareness for the lives and experiences of people with disabilities. Stories range from heartbreakingly funny, calls for action, and feelings of frustration and anger. Audiences will leave with a new insight into the world of disability.
Proceeds from the opening week of performances, October 5th through October 7th, will benefit Parent Network of WNY. “We are absolutely thrilled to partner with Unique Theatre Company for this extraordinary fundraiser,” says Parent Network of WNY Executive Director, Kimberly Kadziolka. “For over three decades, Parent Network of Western New York has been dedicated to fostering inclusivity and empowerment within our community for individuals with disabilities and their families. This event represents not just a night of entertainment but a profound opportunity to support our mission. The funds raised will enable us to continue providing vital services that empower individuals with disabilities to find their voices and unlock their full potential.
